Synopsis
For the first time since Tessa met Dastien, life is quiet. The evil witch, Luciana, is six glorious feet under, St. Ailbe’s is closed due to human trespassers, and people are finally getting used to the fact that supernaturals exist in the world. It seems like the perfect time for a honeymoon.

Tessa and Dastien’s trip to the Caribbean is turning out to be the honeymoon that fantasies are made of—sunset cruises, long walks on the beach, and every romantic cliché you can imagine. She couldn’t be happier. So, when a local man turns up inexplicably dead on the beach, Tessa brushes it off. Not every bad thing that happens in the world is a supernatural mystery to be solved. And when Sebastian—one of the Council of Seven Alphas who rule all the werewolves—appears on the island, she thinks it must be a coincidence. Everyone needs a break now and then. Even council members. Right? Besides, Tessa is beyond determined to not let anything get in the way of her romantic vacation.

But when Dastien goes missing, the honeymoon is most definitely over. Tessa can’t ignore the signs anymore. Something huge is going on. And whoever messed with Tessa’s mate is in for a rude awakening. Because if there’s one thing fighting rogue witches and werewolves has taught her, it’s how to be Alpha.

Excerpt #5
As I picked up my tray and headed toward the tables, I realized that whatever Claudia said, I could handle. I had Dastien. And sitting at the table with Claudia, Lucas, and Raphael were Chris and Adrian. I wasn’t alone. Adding in my parents, my brother, Tia Rosa, Meredith, and Donovan, then I really had nothing to worry about it. We’d fought a whole chapel full of demons, plus one powerful demon-possessed witch. Astaroth might be more powerful, but we would figure it out together.

Was some super scary demon after me? Yes.

Was the supernatural world coming apart? Also, yes.

Had Eli told me I was going to have to sacrifice something in order to get his help to stop the apocalypse? Again, yes.

But at least I had friends to help figure out how to fix this whole shitshow that my life had turned into.

Christ. Who was I kidding? This was a freaking disaster.

Go back to the part about the friends. I liked that part, Dastien said.

And with that I started laughing. Even my mind wasn’t my own anymore, but I didn’t really mind that part.

Would seeing my abs again help? He grinned, and his dimples deepened. And then he winked.

I laughed harder. You know, it might. Let’s see them.

Oh, I’m not actually undressing here. I was just curious.

Is everyone a tease today?

Nah. Just me and Claudia.

As the laughter faded, I was left feeling a little lighter. I wasn’t sure what was going to happen next, but laughing through the crazy was as good a plan as any.

Excerpt from Andie Biagini’s WATER TEMPERATURE
I met the animal control officer at the outer gate of the Greenflower Nuclear Power Plant. He pulled up in a big red pickup truck and parked in a visitor spot. To my relief, he didn’t look much older than me. At least I wasn’t dealing with some grizzled old man who wanted to talk to someone more important than a twenty-one-year-old intern.

From twenty yards away, I watched him haul a black duffel bag out of the back of the truck, a motion which showed off smooth, well-defined biceps under his white T-shirt. I caught myself enjoying the view and quickly looked away. If any of the other interns knew I’d been staring at hot guys on the clock, I’d never hear the end of it.

“Hi.” I gave him a 3,412 BTU-per-hour friendly smile as he approached. “Are you Louis?”

“Luis,” he corrected my pronunciation, frowning. Even with the grumpy face, I couldn’t help but notice his eyes. They were an unusual shade of light brown, like sea glass.

“I’m Madison.” I stuck out my hand for him to shake.

He ignored it. “I know. We talked on the phone. Show me the canal.”

Eyes might be the windows to the soul, but it looked like his pretty ones were well-shuttered. I reminded myself to be polite. This was just a summer internship, but if I wanted the plant to offer me a position after graduation next May, I needed to prove I could handle whatever the job threw at me. Including rude people. “We’ll need to get you through security first.”

Luis scowled. Still, he followed me and submitted to the process.

The security guard at the front desk gave him a discreet once-over while he signed in. Even though she was old enough to be his mom, I couldn’t blame her. Luis looked like he should be lounging shirtless on a beach somewhere—a mental image that was almost enough to make me blush— not fishing lost reptiles out of Greenflower’s cooling canal.

It wasn’t until we were walking toward the golf cart that would take us to our destination that he said another word to me. “You’re the one who saw this alligator, right?”

I hesitated. “I saw a tail.”

“Tails are usually attached to something.”

I bit my tongue on a snarky response. My supervisor had been quick to tell me that alligators and other local fauna hung out near the canal all the time. I was at the plant to learn, but I was so tired of people talking down to me and explaining things I already knew. Normally I would have let it drop, but I’d been having a rough couple of days, feeling lethargic and frustrated for no reason I could pinpoint. I wanted a win, a problem to solve. So I pushed the issue, reminding my supervisor of the plant’s tenuous relationship with the local wildlife authorities. Reaching out to them was a good PR move—it showed that Greenflower cared about the ecology of the area. That’s when I’d been given permission to get in touch with animal control.

I motioned for Luis to put his duffle in the back of the golf cart and get in. “I only saw the tail,” I repeated. “I don’t think it’s an alligator. It didn’t look like one.”

“Have you ever seen a gator before?” His voice dripped condescension. More sincerely, he amended, “Sorry. But you don’t sound like you’re from around here.”

Luis didn’t have anything like what I considered a Southern drawl, but apparently something about my speech had made him judgey. “Connecticut,” I admitted. “But I’ve been going to school down here for three years. And I’m planning to move here after I graduate.” Hopefully. Pending impressing the right people at the plant and landing that job offer.

I started the golf cart and began to scoot along the path. It wasn’t even lunchtime yet, but it was already blazing hot. My long dark hair was starting to frizz and curl. I could feel myself sweating through my blouse. I wished I had the ovaries to wear a skirt or a dress to work, just for the breeze. But it was hard enough being the only girl intern without drawing attention to my legs, so I stuck to khakis.

Beside me, Luis lifted a hand to wipe sweat off his forehead. The sleeve of his white T-shirt pulled up, flashing a gray-green tattoo. I wanted a closer look, but I kept my eyes facing front. I couldn’t tell my supervisor that I’d wrecked the golf cart because I was distracted by the animal control officer’s nice arms.

We arrived at the edge of the canal. From far above, it looked a little like one of those old snake computer games, where someone had succeeded in getting the snake to fill the screen without eating its tail. It switched back on itself continuously, so its length would fit within five square miles. From where we were standing, there were just rows of blue-green water, broken up by strips of concrete.

Luis got out of the cart and walked to the edge of the canal, leaving his duffel behind. I went to stand next to him. He was a few inches shorter than me, and I was in flats. I could see the edge of his tattoo now—a tail, with fins. Mermaid?

“When the water leaves the plant, it’s hot,” I explained. “It cools down as it goes through the canal, so by the time it gets into the gulf it’s a normal temperature.”

“And all the nuclear waste in the water is just a bonus, right?” he said acidly. No wonder he was being so salty, if that’s what he thought went on at Greenflower.

My temper flared. “Do you honestly think we’d be putting it back in the damn ocean if it were contaminated?”

“I don’t know what you nuclear people get up to. I just live here.”

I didn’t respond to that. Locals were still touchy about the plant, even though it had stood for fifty years without a contamination issue.

Luis turned back to me. “So, tell me what exactly you saw.”

Before I could explain, I caught a glimpse of green scales with an iridescent shimmer breaking the water fifty yards behind him. “I saw that.” I grabbed his arm and spun him around to face the canal. The scaly thing slid back down, and the tail broke the water. It was long and ended in flukes, like a dolphin’s.

When the tail went back under, I worried it might not come back up again. I’d seen it twice now, and I was sure I could trust my own eyes, but would Luis believe me? Before I could gauge his reaction, a head appeared. It was triangular and decidedly snakelike, but it was bigger than the hard hats I had to wear around the plant. Which made me think the creature’s whole body was probably bigger than any snake I cared to see in real life.

Before I could notice any more details, the head disappeared. I turned to Luis, expecting shock, surprise, his mouth hanging open, maybe. Instead, he was grinning broadly. Something fluttered in my stomach, and I couldn’t help but smile back. I realized I was still holding his very firm, warm arm, and I dropped it, embarrassed.

Luis didn’t seem to notice the awkward extended contact, or if he noticed he didn’t mind. “Holy shit,” he said, gleefully. “You’ve got yourself a sea monster.”

Synopsis
Heartbeats had a pesky way of complicating things. They almost always came with the nasty side effect of humanity and finally… death. Since Thorne came into my life, I’d been plagued with both. Heartbeats and humanity.

Both of these things were going to be the death of me. One way or another. And the death of everyone I knew and loved, a list growing longer with every beat of my newly repaired—and irritating—heart. That pesky humanity was almost as toxic as the most debilitating illness on this hunk of rock, killing more humans than any vampire could.

Love.

And there I was, attached to a slayer who I couldn’t be undead without. Friends who I was becoming increasingly attached to. All things—people—he would take away from me. Then he’d take me too. But if it came to that, I’d yank out my beating heart and crush it in my hands before he could touch me.

It was lost anyway. If he won, my eternity would come to an end. As it happened, so would the world.

That only meant I couldn’t lose.

ETERNITY’S AWAKENING Teaser 2

 —————————————————————————-

Excerpt
“We need to talk about him,” Thorne said, his voice tight.

“Who?” I asked, swiping my face with blush and pretending to be innocent.

It didn’t work well, despite me being an excellent actress. Someone as fucked up as me couldn’t even feign innocence; they could only ruin it.

Plus, I knew who he was talking about. I could sense it in his very words. We hadn’t uttered his name since we left the compound, and the all-night sexathon did not warrant such conversation.

Thorne’s quicksilver gaze bored into my reflection. “Your fucking husband.”

I paused for a sliver of a second before I resumed applying my makeup. “I’d say that our marriage is considered null and void after he faked his own death and then tried to kill us both, don’t you?” It was a considerable effort to keep my voice tight with sarcasm and nothing else, but I did it.

“He was something to you, Isla. You told me as much when you told me the story of his death.” He paused. “He was something to you, and now he wants you back. And he’s made it quite clear that he’s going to kill every single person who gets in his way. I didn’t miss your reaction when Alexus said those words.”

I put the brush down, laying my palms flat on the marble counter, glaring at his reflection. “No, he was something to the human I used to be,” I corrected, my voice rising slightly. “He’s nothing to the vampire I am now. Nothing but another target to take out in the middle of this war.” The lie sounded weak even to my ears.

Thorne stepped forward, face tight and blank, his energy swirling around me. “You may be able to lie to yourself about that, but you can’t lie to me. There’s still something there. He still has something over you,” he rasped, coming to stand behind me but not touching me.

I pretended I didn’t care, that I didn’t crave his touch, that I didn’t need it to chase away the sickness that carried Jonathan’s memories. “He doesn’t. Videos weren’t invented five hundred years ago, so he can’t show everyone how dreadfully dense I was,” I retorted. “Nor can he broadcast my equally dreadful fashion sense, so I’m good.”

Abruptly, Thorne’s fist shattered my reflection. Glass rained down around us, and the fragrance of his blood filled the air, mingling with his hot and wild fury.

“Stop it!” he roared, snatching my shoulders to painfully twist me around.

The pop of my shoulder dislocating echoed through the room.

I gaped at his fury-filled eyes. They were so far gone he hadn’t even noticed injuring me in the midst of it.

“Stop with the jokes, with the sarcasm,” he hissed, voice a blade. “I watched it. I watched you fucking freeze and turn into some kind of robot in the middle of the battle at your parents’ house. Watched you walk toward him. Nothing has control over you. Or I’d thought that until I saw him. He has control over you, Isla.” It was an accusation, but it was something else too, something more than jealousy.

Something like dread. A sickening premonition of the visceral fear he’d feel when we were faced with Jonathan again.

But I wasn’t about to inspect it, because it would mean that I had to recognize whatever feelings had been dredged up from the grave along with Jonathan. “No one has control over me, Thorne,” I lied. “Not even me.” My voice was pure ice. “And especially not you.”

I wrenched myself out of his grip and stormed from the room.

He didn’t follow me.

Synopsis
Seventeen-year-old Marisol Holmes may be the great-great-great granddaughter of Sherlock Holmes, but it’s hard to live up to the family name when only one mistake can spell your downfall. After trusting the wrong guy in a case gone totally wrong, Marisol convinces the Conclave, an underground organization of detectives solving supernatural cases, to give her a last chance to prove her worth, and maybe even heal her broken heart

After all, as a half-blood jaguar shifter, Marisol is uniquely qualified to solve this murder—and every scrap of evidence points toward the culprit being a fellow jaguar shifter. But is one of her own people involved, or is this all a ploy to kick Marisol’s mother off the shifter throne?

Then Marisol discovers her best friend, Roan, is missing, and maybe the killer’s next target. The stakes just got higher than political intrigue. Just when things couldn’t get worse, Marisol’s ex-boyfriend-turned-nemesis, Mannix, starts leaving sinister clues for her. Marisol fears this case might be far more personal than she could’ve imagined.

It’s time for Marisol to prove her worth, or her people could fall into chaos while her best friend loses his life.

Excerpt #1
“Two minutes left.” The smug look had returned to Balthy’s face. He obviously wasn’t convinced I could solve the case in time.

And honestly, I was getting pretty nervous, too. The fact that it took me slightly over ten minutes to figure out a demon was the culprit proved I was still off my game. My focus had suffered drastically during my last mission, and the reason for that had a name.

Mannix.

Just thinking about him put a picture of him in mind instantly. Of his sparkling green eyes that pierced straight into my soul. Of his unruly black hair that sometimes covered his gaze. Of his whiskey-rough voice that promised me things that would never be real… Promises like how he loved me.

And with those words, he’d distracted me, made me bring down the walls around my heart, with the end result that people died. People I cared about.

I shook my head, trying to get rid of the thoughts haunting me, determined not to let feelings get in my way this time.

“Thirty seconds left,” Balthy said in a gleeful tone. “You’re losing your touch.”

The words hadn’t left his mouth before the final pieces of the puzzle clicked into place in my mind. “I’m finished,” I said.

Balthy’s eyes turned into slits and his smile into a scowl as he moved to the door and knocked on it twice. His behavior didn’t surprise me. Balthazar Rollins, snake shifter, Sigil Bearer of the Conclave, and one of the highest-ranked members of our crime-solving institution hated me, my mother, and any non-snake shifter he had ever laid eyes on.

Synopsis
Ruby is done with jerks, dead-end jobs, and eviction notices. Everyone else she knows is finding ways out of this crappy neighborhood, so why can’t she? Since opportunities refuse to fall from the sky, Ruby makes her own. To hell with the little voice in her heart whispering about love. She never met a man she wanted to keep…then she met a gargoyle. Men were boring after all.

Nick was a con, a thief, and a rogue. He couldn’t keep a dime in his pocket even if it was glued. Then he met a ruby. Not one from the earth but one of flesh and blood. And ass. Let’s not forget the ass. Stealing her heart was now all he wanted.

He has a plan that could make both their dreams come true. It only involves an itsy-bitsy risk. All they must do is rob a witch.

Oh, and avoid the dragons.

 —————————————————————————-

Excerpt
A distant dragon roar made Nick miss a wing beat. He swirled out of control for a second and caught his balance. One of them was close and he bet it was Eoin. Masquerading as a human would help Nick avoid recapture. He increased his speed, heading back to the apartment.

Landing on Ruby’s fire escape, he found the window cracked open for him. He smiled at the small gesture of kindness. She was one of the sweetest women. He recalled how fiercely she’d protected her sister from the vampire and himself when they had invaded the apartment. That felt like forever ago. She had been ready to fight them both. Brave and beautiful and kind.

Once more he wondered why she didn’t have a mate.

Nick climbed inside and found her on the couch, feet propped on the coffee table as she watched the evening news. Three empty bottles of beer sat next to the couch.

“Honey, I’m home,” he sang out. He’d always wanted to say that.

She gave him a huge grin and waved him over. “Come sit with me.”

The couch seemed too small for the two of them so he sat on the floor in front of her instead, leaning his back against it.

“Look.” She pointed to the television. “More gargoyles.”

His brothers were on the evening news, flying over the city’s port. “Yeah, I know them.” The dragon would hear about this if he wasn’t already watching. Nick hoped his brothers would lie quiet for a few days so Eoin wouldn’t blast them from the skies.

Ruby draped herself over his shoulders and handed him a beer, rubbing her face on his skin. “You’re very warm.” She snuggled closer between his wings, her arms lazily circling his neck from behind. “Can you shoot flames like the dragons?”

He snorted and took a sip of beer. “No. Are you drunk?” He eyed the bottles. There were only three. Then again, she was much smaller than a gargoyle. Maybe three was all it took.

“Nah, but I’m feeling good.” She sighed and seemed to melt against him. “I had an awful day.”

He reached behind and scratched her scalp with the tips of his claws like he would any family member in distress. He knew from experience that it felt good. He’d had a bad day too. Touching her made him feel better.

She moaned in his ear and it sent shivers down his spine. She bent over his shoulder more, giving him better access to her head. “That feels great.”

He undid the pins holding her hair and allowed it to cascade over his chest before continuing to massage her scalp. “What happened?” She felt so soft and tiny. Delicate like an angel. A brief whiff of her sweet smell and he struggled with the urge to bury his nose into her hair.

“What do you mean?” Her voice was muffled against his skin. Sleepy.

“Why was today so awful?”

“My boss sold the diner. I might be unemployed soon and my landlord is pressuring for rent.”

Nick finished his beer, absentmindedly scratching Ruby’s head. Stalking her boss until he changed his mind on selling the diner would probably end up with the police being called. Killing him was not Nick’s style. “Who’s the new owner?” He moved his hands to her shoulders and gently massaged the knots. Maybe they could be convinced to keep Ruby as an employee.

“The right side is worse than the left. Oh God, right there. Don’t stop.”

Those breathless pleas made him shudder. His wings reflexively expanded. She was setting off instinctual triggers. He breathed through the strong urge to carry her away somewhere dark and secluded. Teach her a thing or two about gargoyle anatomy. The desire to show her exactly how good he was at making women scream grew. The good kind of scream. Not the bad kind. Well, he could make them do that, too.

“I don’t know about the diner. I imagine I’ll meet them soon. My boss says that my job is secure—”

“That’s good news.” He ran long strands of red hair under his nose. Closing his eyes, he inhaled deeply. So, he didn’t have to beat anyone.

“It is, but it’s also a lie. I’ve been through this before. The shifters are trying to clean up this area. They are building shifter oriented neighborhoods close to here and investors are gobbling up every available building.”

“They are planning to make this neighborhood nicer?” That meant safer. Shifters were territorial and the majority responsible citizens. Any criminals in the area would be smart to move. He scratched his chin. Most shifters didn’t care for his kind.

“Nicer means more expensive. It means my landlord can increase the rent, which means I’m going to have to move just like everyone else.”

This wasn’t the Ruby he remembered. She seemed deflated draped over his body in defeat. “But you could find a better job at one of these new businesses.”

“That’s if I can find a job. The last place I worked was a biker bar. The new owners renovated the place, it became an after-work lounge for hipsters. Then I was fired because I didn’t fit their expectations as a bartender.”

About the Author
I love writing and reading about love. There’s nothing better than two characters finding each other in unusual situations and conquering all odds to be together. *Sigh* Regardless the genre – paranormal, contemporary, fantasy –if there’s romance—I wanna read it!

I was born in Hawai’i but grew up most of my life in the sticks of Michigan and the sunny beaches of Florida. After graduating high school, I return to my island ohana for college where I wrote my thesis on how to write a young adult book. (Oddly enough)

Wife, mother, dog owner, and author, my hat constantly changes but I love every minute of the hustle. Writing is my passion and the wonderful nagging voice in my head. I’m blessed to have amazing family and friends who’ve supported me from my first story, written in poor phonics and elementary chicken scratch.

Excerpt
Rebecca Stevens stared at the crate twenty yards away; the breeze blew her hair across her eyes. The weight of the railroad spike hovering nearby rested on her mind. The sensation of a foreign object inside her head quickened her pulse like always. At her command the spike spun. Her skill had improved over the past months, during her very limited practice time, but one thing remained constant; if she didn’t manage her emotions she lost any sort of accuracy. Perfect concentration was required, and she hardly ever achieved that.

With her energy focused, sweat ran down her back and neck. A stiff wind chilled her cheek and rattled the nearby trees. A twig snapped and she glanced toward the sound. A dog stood in the clearing, its brown eyes studying her. At least he wouldn’t give away her secret.

A tingle intensified in her fingertips to the point of triggering an adrenaline rush, and she flung the spike toward the target. With a whoosh, the spike nailed the target a bit to the left. The wood box splintered, the crack of the wood echoed, and birds scattered from the nearby trees and the dog barked once before his escape. The spike drove into the ground, out of sight, behind a puff of dirt, as the force propelled it deep. Someone shouted in the distance, and she bolted toward the cover of the trees. She hid in the shadows of the trees like a criminal. Her body shook from the telekinetic exertion and with someone hearing the sound, they would come investigate. She needed to get out of here.

Her hands quivered and she knelt on the hard soil to calm her twitchy nerves. She hated the weakness in her stomach after every use of her power, but her instincts nagged her to practice. The control would get easier. It had to.

She dug into her backpack slung over a tree branch, and pulled out her cell phone. She had two text messages from her dad, both telling her to get home for dinner. She replied she was at the library and hurried through the forest as the sun set behind her. Her dad, they mayor of Peakside, would never understand what she was doing. He had been under constant pressure to do something about the growing voice of the public about people with powers. Her father kept to himself, but she knew he felt the burden. She hoped he would do the right thing; whatever that was. Maybe someday she would trust someone with her secret, but so far she couldn’t. The world wouldn’t allow her to.

At the edge of the woods, she scanned the adjacent street. Night crept in as the sun fell behind the horizon. Shadows reached forward like prying fingers as gloom surrounded her. A familiar loneliness fell upon her. A few porch lights dotted the neighborhood. In the distance, a dog howled. She hiked up her backpack and ran. Darkness scared her; she didn’t know why, but every time she was alone in the dark her nerves twisted into knots.

A pair of young men sat in a dark car near the forest. Smoke billowed up from the driver’s side when one of them opened his door. Did she see a flicker of fire on his arm? She looked away.

“Hey, girlie, you seen my dog?” the man called out. His voice had a raspy sound to it like he suffered from smokers’ cough. “It’s a small puppy.”

Rebecca glanced back at him, but didn’t offer an answer. In the pocket of her sweatshirt, she clenched her fists; a faint energy pulsed in her arms.

“You too good to answer me?” the man yelled.

The car door slammed and the engine revved. They were after her. Fear shot through her veins, and she didn’t have time to give it a second thought. With them already in the car, she didn’t want to risk her life to stop them. She didn’t even know if she could stop them if she tried.  She knew she could move small objects like her laptop and the railroad spike, but the heaviest thing she had moved with her mind was the washing machine, but a car, she couldn’t fathom doing that while she escaped.

Rebecca bolted toward the corner and hooked around. She hoped to put some distance between them. Her sneakers slapped against the pavement, still three blocks away from her house. Tired from her telekinetic training session, her body revolted–cramps hit her legs and she almost collapsed. She couldn’t outrun them, so she frantically searched the neighborhood for a place to hide. The first fence she came to, she scrambled over, and landed next to a tree. Her throat burned. Her chest heaved.

Rebecca peered through the thin slats in the fence, but no one came by. Maybe she’d overreacted. She lowered her sweaty head. The cool night sent a chill down her back. Her telekinesis curled around her like a scarf and she closed her eyes, comforted.

Her breath caught, at the squeak of a door. Behind her, a man stood on the porch in a white tank top. A cigarette dangled from his lip, the embers illuminated his face in orange shadows. She clenched the edge of the fence, ready to bolt again.

The porch light came alive. “Rebecca, what are you doing in my yard? Is everything okay?”

Relief swelled in her. Her science teacher, Mr. Randolph, greeted her with a smile. He was a nice guy who always joked with the class and one of the few people who had chosen neutrality in the whole gifted person versus civilian debate.

“I thought some guys were after me, but I think I’ve lost them.” Rebecca fought back a tremble.

“Really?” His plump face squished with concern. He scanned the street beyond his fence. “Come inside. We’ll call your parents.”

“Thank you.” She brushed away some of the twigs caught between the strands of her hair.

Mr. Randolph smashed his cigarette under his foot. “Sorry, bad habit.”

She followed him inside and stole a quick glance back into the street beyond his fence and didn’t see any sign of her pursuers. The warmth of the house soaked into her bones and the fear vanished. She trusted the teacher as much as she could trust anyone. Luck was on her side tonight.

“The phone’s on the counter.” He locked the door behind him.

She dialed her house. Her father picked up right away. “Dad, I’m sorry.”

“Rebecca, where the hell are you? I thought I told you to be home before dark,” her father said.

She knew this was coming. “I’m three blocks down the street. I thought someone was chasing me.”

“Chasing you? Are you okay? What happened? I’ll call Patrick.”

“No I’m fine, and I’m not sure I could tell Patrick much as it’s dark and I couldn’t see them that well. I’m at Mr. Randolph’s house, you know, my science teacher you met him last semester.”

“Let me talk to Mr. Randolph.”

“He wants to talk to you,” Rebecca said. She mouthed her apology and Mr. Randolph smiled.

She handed the phone to Mr. Randolph, who finished pouring himself a cup of coffee before taking the receiver. She slumped against the doorway and examined her ragged nails.

“Yes, she’s fine. I found her in my yard.” Mr. Randolph took a sip. A smile creased his lips. “I understand. Would you like me to bring her home?” He nodded. “No, of course. She won’t leave here until he arrives. You have my word.” Mr. Randolph hung up the phone. “Someone will be here soon.”

“Sorry about that.”

“No problem. He’s concerned you were hurt. I was the same way with my daughter when she was your age. Make yourself comfortable while you’re here.”

She didn’t recall him mentioning his daughter ever before. She strolled into the living room and examined the pictures hung along the walls. His daughter sat on a younger Mr. Randolph’s lap in a family portrait. The living room furniture seemed old, but still in good shape. The lack of a television surprised her.

He carried a satchel into the room and tossed it on the coffee table. It slapped against the wood and she jumped. Rubbing her hands up and down her arms seemed to help calm her frayed nerves a little. “You’re father seems like a good man.”

“Yeah, he has his moments,” she said.

He took another sip from his mug before he unsnapped the satchel. “You can have a seat while you wait. I’m just grading some papers.”

A car horn honked and she headed for the door. “That’s him. Thank you again. I don’t know what I would’ve done if they’d caught me.”

He flashed a genuine smile. “You’re a smart girl. You would’ve thought of something.”

He stood to let her out, but she’d already opened the door. “I’ll see you Tuesday. Enjoy the three day weekend.”

She hurried to the car and stopped at the sight of her father’s head of security, Eric. He frowned at her. “We need to talk.”

“I’m sorry.” She slid onto the passenger seat. “I lost track of time.”

“I thought we made a deal that you would call me to pick you up when you were ready,” he said and backed out of the driveway. Eric had worked for her father for over a decade—he was family.

“I thought I’d make it before dark.” She slumped down in the seat.

“Let’s not do this again. You know since the kid with those water powers was murdered, things have gotten a bit crazy around here. Your father needs to know you’re safe.”

She cringed and shook her head; she loved her father and felt bad because of her secret. With the way she heard him talk to the other politicians, things were going to get worse for gifted people. She feared the idea she’d overheard; they were trying to figure out a way to track people with powers. She imagined a barcode or something embedded in her skin. The thought made her squirm.

“I promise I’ll never do it again.” A promise she didn’t intend to keep, but if Eric told her father that, it would make him feel better, which put her mind at ease a little bit.

“There was another attack tonight. The rumor is it’s the group of people who follow the Collector guy again,” he said. “Twelve people dead. Nine of them kids.” This wasn’t a scare tactic. He wanted her to know what sort of situation her father dealt with tonight.

Eric always kept Rebecca updated on current happenings. The knowledge made her feel better, even though it was primarily violent news.

Rebecca lowered her head to hide her frustration. Things were worse for people like her, all because of some fruitcake who lead a bunch of gifted people on a crime spree. Her telekinesis tingled in her stomach at the change of her mood. She swallowed the anger and gazed out the window. She didn’t have anyone to talk to because everyone in her family was normal, unless her father’s way to deal with stress was a super power. Despite how dire things had gotten, he always remained calm and collected, except when it came to her. That was a surefire way for him to lose it. She didn’t enjoy the special attention when it came to her. Alex, her brother, got away with everything. Suppressing her guilt, she let out a shaky groan.

As Eric pulled into the driveway, Tony, her father’s other security guard, awaited them in front of the two story Victorian house. News vans lined the street outside and as they pulled up, the reporters mobbed the car. Their words blurred into one large rumble. Over the years she grew accustomed to ignore their inquiries, but lately, their questions about people with powers were hard to avoid. Each one stung like a dagger of accusation.

“Sorry about this,” Eric didn’t have to apologize; she knew it came with the territory of the mayor’s daughter, after all. She’d been around it for the past five years.

Tony, a monster of a man, shoved his way through to the passenger door and opened it for her. Tony pulled Rebecca inside the house where the reporter’s questions were snipped off by the stark slam of the door.

Inside the foyer, her father sat in his overstuffed chair, a large pile of papers stacked on his lap. Natilee, his personal assistant, came from the back room. Her black pants suit was well pressed and her brown hair was tied up in a tight bun that made the throbbing veins at her temple more visible. She didn’t handle stress nearly as well as her father. Rebecca learned quickly how to tell what sort of mood Natilee was in by a glance at her temple. If it fluttered like a hummingbird, keep your conversation short; if it was steady then she was approachable. She smiled at Rebecca and then turned back to her father.

“I’m sorry, Dad.” She swallowed and focused on remaining calm. She needed to keep the blaze of emotions in check, so no surprises with her gift would happen.

“These are signed.” Her father handed the papers to Natilee and she hurried toward the back of the house. He made his intentions clear, time with his family was more important than work and Natilee’s respect for the rule allowed her to keep her job longer than any of the other assistants.

“Becca, come here.” Her father removed his glasses and leaned forward in his chair. His brow creased as he rubbed his temples. “It’s okay. I’m sorry I flipped out. Things are a bit out of control as you can see.” Her father waved his hand toward the window absentmindedly.

Her mother rushed into the living room. “Honey, are you all right? Your dad said you were chased.” She pulled Rebecca into an embrace. Having her close was comforting. She gave her mother a quick squeeze back and pulled away. The scent of strawberries filled her head and she smiled.

Eric, who had escorted Rebecca’s mother in from the kitchen, went to his post by the front door.

“I’ve called Patrick. He’ll stop by after dinner. You don’t need to worry. He understands,” her mother said. A buzzer went off from the kitchen and her mother hesitated. She frowned. “Dinner’s in the oven.” She zipped off without another word.

Rebecca set her backpack on the couch and sat next to it. She leaned forward on the plush couch positioned directly across from her father. The idea of revealing her ability to him crossed her mind, but she sighed instead. There was no way he would understand. The oak table sat between them, and the reflection of the few red embers in the fireplace glowed with occasional pops of life. She fidgeted with the strings of her sweatshirt as his brown-eyed glare bore into her until she finally met his stare. Her mother was always there for her, but her father was the one she respected.

“Where were you?” His voice remained calm and inviting, which was never a good sign. Always under control, the tone of his voice made it clear that he meant business. The world could collapse around him and he would keep everyone else composed. She admired his ability to remain calm, while she felt like insects crawled around inside her at the first sign of chaos.

“At the library, studying.” She kept her eyes up. No backing down from his gaze, it would only give him a reason to think she lied.

“No, you weren’t. I checked there when the attack at the after school center happened. Want to try again?” He searched her face.

“Um…” She cracked and he noticed. His eyebrows rose briefly. She should have never tried to get one over on him. Too late to backtrack now, she needed to keep up her facade.

“I’m going to love you no matter where you were, so tell me, where were you?” He moved from the chair and sat next to her. He rested his hand on top of her fidgeting hands and they came to a stop. His warmth spread through her like a storm front and she blinked back the anguish. She wanted to tell him everything, but her mouth refused to spit out the words.

“I went for a walk through the forest. I’m sorry I didn’t tell you, but…“ Rebecca stopped. He held her hands tight as she twitched to break free.

“It’s okay. You’re sixteen, and going through a lot of teenage stuff. Please don’t lie to me. I can’t protect you if you do.” He pulled her closer and kissed her forehead. “I love you.”

The stubble on his chin scratched her nose. “I love you too, Dad.”

“Now get upstairs and wash up for dinner.” He stood. “Natilee?”

Natilee appeared from another room a moment later, a cell phone in one hand and another pile of paperwork under her other arm. Rebecca stood to leave.

“The press wants a statement.” Natilee said, as Rebecca brushed by. The vein at her temple was calm, finally, and her hazel eyes glimmered a bit like she had recently been crying. Had she heard their conversation? Why would she care?

Her father glanced out the window. “I’ll tell them what I know, which isn’t much.”

“Dad?”

“Yes, dear?” He faced Rebecca and for the first time, he seemed to be beaten down by the way things were going.

“Where’s Alex?”

“Upstairs, probably on the phone with Yasmine.” He turned back to the window. Natilee handed him the phone.

“It’s the national media.” Natilee’s eyes glimmered for a moment, which stopped Rebecca short, but then she told herself what she had seen was nothing more than the reflection of the fire.

When I’m not writing, I’m an avid Carolina Panther fan, video game player, and a Walking Dead aficionado.

I wouldn’t be able to do this with the support of my family, wife, two daughters, and son. Synopsis
Who wields the power behind the Wild Court?

After months of dealing with gods and monsters in New York, Karina and Robert return to their cottage in Scotland. Chris makes the move as well to start fresh with his girlfriend, Anya—but when they arrive Anya isn’t there. He tracks her down at the pub where her mother, Beira, works, and finds out that Beria’s been holding a grudge against his family for the past few hundred years. Since Beira’s the Cailleach Bheur— the Celtic Queen of Winter—her grudges are a rather big deal.

While Chris deals with Beira, Karina and Robert learn that when Robert was freed from the Minster’s Pine Karina inadvertently left a portal to Elphame open. Now Doon Hill is covered in fairies who are organizing themselves into a new court free of Seelie rule, akin to the Wild Fae of old. What’s worse, Karina’s long-lost uncle appears to be organizing this new court.

Karina closes the door to Elphame, but that only angers the unseen powers behind the fledgling Wild Court, forcing her and Robert to forge alliances with those who’d been their enemies not so long ago. Who can Karina and her gallowglass trust, and who is only out to deceive them?

Synopsis
Logan has returned to Roter Himmel. Once a peaceful haven for the Royals, it is now a kingdom of chaos and distrust. The people may love their queen, but she has never ruled them on her own.

Sevan has seen Cyrus work miracles long ago, and learned his methods herself. His curse has sustained stronger than death before but the visage of Cyrus’ demise is undeniable. Still, Logan refuses to believe this is the end. Cyrus keeps appearing to her in strange dreams, rambling that she must prepare—that the day is coming when night will rule the day.

While the entire world of vampires watches, Logan will take on the weight of the crown, the certainty of impending change, and the threat of war.

They all should have known better than to test her. She’s had multiple lifetimes to prepare for this…

All hail the Queen.

Excerpt #2
I want to break.  To shatter. I could crumble, a million pieces scattered across the stone floor.

But there are eyes—so many eyes.  Dozens of them, hundreds perhaps. They watch me.  They watch their queen.

I’ve been under their eyes before.  I’ve been studied, scrutinized. I know what they are looking for in this moment.

I can’t crumble.

Because right now I have to be queen of them all.

“Get out,” I say evenly as I stare at my husband’s blank face.  My stomach turns. My jaw tightens.

I stand straight.  I take one deep breath.  I turn to face the masses.

“I want everyone, and I mean everyone save Alivia, Ian, and Eshan out of this castle.  But if anyone tries to leave Roter Himmel, the punishment will be one hundred years tied up in the middle of the desert where the sun never sets.”

Eyes widen, breaths suck into lungs.

I see it, they doubt me.  If I really am the Queen. If I mean what I say.

If I were Cyrus, I’d probably kill someone.  Drag them out into the sunlight outside, watch them scream, watch them cry in agony.  I would probably tear someone’s skin off, inch by inch, while everyone watched, to show them how deadly serious I am.

But I am not Cyrus.

I am Sevan.

“Do you all understand me?” I ask quietly.

No one speaks.  They only watch me with wary eyes.

“Do you understand your Queen?” I bellow.

Some take a step back.  Eyes widen. Others narrow at me.

“Do you understand if you leave our city you will regret it for the next 36,500 days?” I threaten with an angry tremor in my voice.  “Do you understand if anyone tries to travel on silent and dark feet, I will know?”

While the majority nod their heads solemnly—most know better than to defy me, others doubt.

I make a mental note of each of them.

Of their own accord, my eyes drift, studying each of those that surround me.  The shock of Eshan. The horror of Alivia. And the bitter anger of Ian.

My eyes shift from him to those who look at me with doubt.  And I look back to Ian.

He looks over at them as well, and I know he gets my silent communication: take note of the doubters.

We may not like one another, maybe we never will, but I know in this, we speak the same language when it comes to being distrustful and suspicious of others and their motives.

Looking back at those who weren’t smart enough to take me seriously, I know that some will die.

And I don’t care.

Emotion wells in my eyes.  Tears threaten to slip down my face.

But I hold them in.

I’ll burn every one of them to the ground if it means avenging Cyrus.

“Leave,” I let the word quietly slip over my lips.

And Bry’s new man, Knox, is literally a dream come true. Best of all, Bry will soon attend a regular high school. Forget those sketchy tutors! To get ready, Bry is dedicating the rest of her summer to some serious back-to-school shopping with her best friend, Elle. It’s a blast, except for one thing:

Mysterious strangers are following Bry across Manhattan.

All these stalkers have oddly familiar scents and an uncanny ability to slip into the shadows whenever Bry tries to confront them. Even worse, their presence is making Knox act crazy with a capital C.

But Bry’s having none of it. Enough of her life has already been ruined by secrets. With Elle’s help, Bry plans to confront these strangers, find out what they want, and send them packing. Trouble is, the truth about their identity won’t be so easy to manage, especially when Bry finds out how these stalkers could change her future with Knox…and not for the better.

***An interim novella between WOLVES AND ROSES and SHIFTERS AND GLYPHS***

Excerpt
“That’s why packs have Alphas,” says Knox. “You need to set her loose, and then, let her attack me.”

Every inch of my body goes on alert. “Attack you? Why?”

“Your wolf has been through a lot. Ritual fighting is how wolves work out their place in the pack. Your wolf needs a firm hand.”

I stare at my palm. “Firm hand?”

“I’m not talking about physical power here. I’m talking magic. My power is Alpha energy, but you’ve got your own magic. Once I subdue your wolf, I think you’ll get the idea.”

My head feels woozy. “Ritual combat? Really?”

“Yes. Release your wolf and attack me. Now.”

I hug my elbows. “I’m not sure. If I’m patient, my inner wolf might just calm down on her own.”

“That’s not how wolves work, even when they aren’t of the magical variety. And a werewolf? Our animals are far more intense. I’m your Alpha, and if I let this go on for one more minute, I’m putting you at risk.”

Something in his tone sets my nerves on edge. “Meaning?”

“Your wolf will go feral. When it happens, it’s fast and intense. Your wolf will take over and you’ll disappear.”

I suck in a shaky breath. “She wouldn’t.”

My wolf’s voice sounds in my head. “We will run! I demand we shift NOW!”

That manic tone to her voice is now higher than ever before. Every inch of my body trembles with the urge to shift. I reply to my wolf in my mind.

“Didn’t you hear what Knox said?” Normally, my wolf can’t help but listen in on most of my conversations. “Our mate thinks you’re going feral.”

“Mate?” The manic tone to her voice hikes up an octave. “We have no mate. All we have is the need to run.”

A chill runs up my spine. “You don’t remember our mate?”

“No mate! Run, now!”

My blood chills. No matter what happens, my wolf always knows her mate. In fact, my usual complaint is that she won’t shut up about him.

This is really happening. My wolf is going feral.

All of a sudden, it’s like I can’t pull in enough air. “You’re right. My inner wolf is losing her mind.”

“Hey, I won’t let that happen.” Knox rests his hands on my shoulders. “Breathe, Bry.”

It takes serious concentration, but I slow my racing pulse a little. “Okay.”

“Now, you need to set your wolf loose and trust me. Can you do that, yeah?”

“I can try.”

“Good.” Knox pulls off his dress shirt over his head and tosses it aside. “Set her loose.”

Normally, the urge to shift is a constant tug of war between me and my wolf. Most times, all it takes is for me to stop fighting the urge to shift. After that, I turn furry. So that’s what I do now—I drop my guard and let my wolf take over.

Excerpt #3
The shadow woman floated upward. Her elegant ascent was the most beautiful thing Harry had ever seen. Outside the wind screamed like a lost soul in perpetual torment. There was an inhuman quality in the sound, which convinced Harry he’d lost any chance of reasoning with Evie.

Edgar dipped inside a pocket and pulled out a stone. It was black, larger than a half-dollar, and etched with gold symbols. Edgar grinned without a glimmer of humor as he held up the stone like a talisman.

“I hope you rot in hell!” Edgar said as he faced down the specter.

She didn’t recoil.

As she floated closer, Edgar’s bravado wavered. Outside the wind’s fierceness kicked up and the soulful moan sounded more pained.

About the Author
I’m a Paranormal/Supernatural Award Winning author who grew up in Richmond, Virginia. As a child I suffered from night terrors. I’m sure you’ve heard of sleep paralysis which leaves you with the inability to move or speak. There are those of us who not only suffer the paralysis, but we see and hear horrible creatures. Most of the time, I had the good sense to keep my eyes closed. Yes, most of the time. Tell me, who wants to have nightmares about demons?

As I grew older, I realized some demons may not be hideous. To this day, I believe true evil is seductive, even beautiful. Unfortunately there are bad things you can’t outgrow. You learn to cope. I did that by writing about demons who will sip your soul while giving you a kiss.

As an adult I also discovered that love transcends nightmares. I’m a dog lover and on several fortunate occasions my dogs entered my dream realm and saved me. The author in me couldn’t resist, so in addition to writing about seductive demons, I’ve penned a tale about a mischievous pooch. If you want a chuckle then read about my canine diva. But…you may want to take a darker path with me. You may want to meet my demons. If that’s the case, then I want you to be scared with me. Is that wrong? I don’t just want to scare you, though. I want you to care about my characters. Because if you care about them, then you will be afraid for them too. Who knows, you could have nightmares about beautiful demons, too.

Synopsis
Lonely. That’s how it felt when Damien Pierce returned to Big Timber, Montana. It had been his childhood home until the day he was hit by a speeding car only to learn he wasn’t badly hurt. The experience landed him the label of the town freakshow.
Following the death of his foster mom, Damien soon disconnected from the world around him. That was at least, until he met her. She looked human but something about made her appear otherworldly to him. He knew he shouldn’t but he wanted her. He would do anything to get to know her. To have her.

Jillian Styles was immortal. Cursed by a dark god never to find rest. A shifter capable of taking the form of a beautiful wolf. She had searched for her lover’s reincarnated soul for centuries only to find he was nowhere to be found. When she meets Damien, her world is turned upside down. She falls in love with him instantly and begins to pursue him.

However, Damien soon learns the darker part of Jill’s world. He finds himself on the hit list of the same vampire Lord responsible for killing Jill’s lover and reigniting the flames of an old war. His daughter desires Damien and vows to have him at any cost.

With the help of Alexander Kain, the mysterious wolf shifting soldier, Damien will learn what he thought he knew was only tip of the paranormal iceberg. He soon finds himself in the eyes of a vindictive and rage-filled dark god.

If you like hot lycanthrope guys, overly possessive vampire chicks, vindictive gods, strong female leads and some hot sex scenes, this book is for you.

 —————————————————————————-

Excerpt #2
Kain led Damien to his tent. “Forgive my intrusion on your time with Jillian. I wanted to tell you one last thing before the fight. Holt nearly mentioned it in the meeting but I stopped him because it wasn’t the time or the place.”

“What is it?” Damien replied, curious.

“The dark secret of the vampire noble. As it is with us, the vampire nobles and high class have the ability to change into more powerful forms. Unlike lycans however, they only have a single transformation. I have only seen it once in my many years but it is very formidable.”

Kain pulled a box out from under a pile of old books and blankets. It was covered in dust as though Kain had been trying to bury the memory.

Laying it down before Damien, he opened it, revealing what looked like a talon.

“Kain, what is this?” Damien took it in his hands, carefully examining the detail.

“It was pulled out of my father’s side. When he returned, his body was dripping blood, his side ripped open,” Kain lowered his head. “Damien, he was in his full lycan form. Whatever left this has power. I want you to be very, very careful. Lilith most likely has the power to become the monster much like the one that left this talon.”

Damien’s breath stalled in his lungs. From what he learned about their history, Pentacost Kain was one of strongest lycan soldiers in the war.

To hear he was torn apart so badly in full lycan form by something that Lilith could possibly become sucked any hope Damien had of having a chance against her out of him.

“Kain, I can’t fight her. What if I’m not strong enough.” Damien raced in his chest as fear fought to take hold of him.

Kain took the talon, placing it back in the box. “Damien, you are more than strong enough. Lilith is inexperienced and most likely whatever it was that took down my father was much more powerful. I just wanted you to be aware of her ability. I will be by your side against her. Gabriel and I have already talked about it. Holt, Yuna, Galeck and Lune agree it’s the best course of action. Just be ready.”

Damien nodded, his words freezing in his throat.

“Good. The moon rises. I must hunt with Gabriel and Lune. Damien, if you need to, you may stay here tonight. I know Jillian does not yet understand how strong your bond with the gods is. It may help to be in the company of someone that does. For now, though, I believe I interrupted something between the two of you. Hell hath no fury and all that.” Kain walked out chuckling.

If her love life is going down in flames, she might as well spark a revolution.

Finding out on your sixteenth birthday you’re a shape-shifting dragon is tough to swallow. Being hauled off to an elite boarding school is enough to choke on.

Since Bryn is the only crossbreed at the Institute for Excellence, all eyes are on her, but it’s a particular black dragon, Zavien, who catches her attention.

Zavien is tired of the Council’s rules. Segregated clans, being told who to love, and close-minded leaders make freedom of choice almost impossible. The new girl with the striped hair is a breath of fresh air, and with Bryn’s help, they may be able to change the rules.

At the Institute, old grudges, new crushes, and death threats are all part of a normal day for Bryn. She’ll need to learn to control her dragon powers if she wants to make it through her first year at school. But even focusing on staying alive is difficult when you’re falling for someone you can’t have.

Excerpt from GOING DOWN IN FLAMES
He blinked in confusion. “What do you want to know?”

Time to ask the million-dollar question. No matter the pain it caused, she needed to know. “Who is your intended?”

He shook his head. “It doesn’t matter.”

Wrong. “It matters if you plan to spend the rest of your life with her.”

“She’s a friend.” He didn’t meet her gaze.

Bryn heard a door close. Miss Enid and Valmont had retreated into the bedroom to give them privacy.

She inched closer. Electricity sparked between them, making the hair on the back of her neck stand up. “I need to know.”

He took a deep breath and met her gaze. “My intended is Nola.”

No. Freaking. Way.

Nola? His intended was Nola? How in the hell was she supposed to compete against the dark-haired Barbie? She couldn’t. Dropping her hand from his chest, she backed up a step.

Zavien closed the distance between them. “I swear. She’s a friend.”

Wanting to believe, she placed her hand over his heart and searched his eyes for the truth. “If she’s a friend, then what am I?”

He skimmed his fingers along her jaw and down her neck. Warmth radiated from his touch. He settled his hand at the base of her skull, leaned close, and whispered, “You are temptation.”

She held her breath as he lowered his head and brushed his lips against hers. Time seemed to stand still. His mouth moved against hers. Melting against him, she fisted her hands in his shirt and tried to pull him closer. He wrapped his arm around her waist, drawing her body flush against his.

Too soon, he pulled away. “I shouldn’t have done that.”

“I’m not sorry you did.” She traced her fingertips along his jaw. For so long, she’d been unsure of his feelings. Now she knew.

Synopsis
Don’t just fight the system…burn it.

Since discovering she is a shape-shifting, fire-breathing dragon on her sixteenth birthday (surprise!), Bryn McKenna’s world has been thrown into chaos. Being a “crossbreed”—part Red dragon and part Blue—means Bryn will never fit in. Not with dragon society. Not with the archaic and controlling Directorate. And definitely not when she has striped hair and a not-so popular affection for rule-breaking…

But sneaking around with her secret boyfriend, Zavien, gets a whole lot harder when he’s betrothed to someone else. Someone who isn’t a mixed breed and totally forbidden. And for an added complication, it turns out Bryn’s former archnemesis Jaxon Westgate isn’t quite the evil asshat she thought. Now she’s caught between her desire to fit in and a need to set things on fire. Literally.

Because if Bryn can’t adapt to the status quo…well, then maybe it’s time for her to change it.

The one bright spot in her life is Valmont, her smoking-hot knight who is assigned to watch over her twenty-four hours a day. Is what she feels for him real, or just a side effect of the dragon-knight bond? At this point, stopping the impending civil war might be easier than figuring out her love life.

Not that she could ever love him, either… That’s just ridiculous.

Senior year should be fun. Her parents are alive, she’s finally fitting in, and she’s learning how to be a Medic. But what’s with Jaxon giving her strange looks? He runs hot and cold, and he doesn’t even have the excuse of being a hybrid fire-and-ice-breathing dragon like her. One minute they’re having a great time and the next, she wants to blast a fireball at his head. The marriage contract of doom looms over them–unless this match not made in heaven kindles a flame…

When the hunt for Mannix brings Marisol to London, she teams up again with Roan and Wyatt on a quest for the truth that leads her through the dark alleys of London, to shady shifter pubs, to libraries cloaked in magic, and eventually to an abandoned castle in Scotland that once belonged to her family.
